Although official international matches were not held here (as the size and depth of the pool did not meet FINA standards), exhibition matches and training matches were held here.
Locals still talk about the time when world-class polo players jumped into the water in front of the villagers.
These events were a huge spectacle; people would hang out in groups at the edge of the pool to watch the world’s best players compete in the “garden pond”.
